Is it true that Italians don't speak English?

Personally, I find it hideous to generalize, especially when it comes to whole nations. And that I say because my experience in this matter is a very bitter one (I am Greek). I am supposed to be lazy, to squander your money (think about me when you'are working for that precious paychek), to party all the time, and, I am not supposed to speak English. Once I spoke with a Dutch on the phone; I was working in the ER and had just treated a tourist from the Netherlands, so I had to speak with his insurance company about the details of his case. After our patient-related discussion was over, the kind Dutch told me: "Congratulations, you are Greek and yet you speak English so well!". Nice ha? I didn't know wether I should take it as a compliment or as an insult. My heart said the second.  Every coin has two sides, however. It sucks when you are the victim, but you can derive a vicious pleasure fom judging; others. You can momentarily feel strong, even if this only happ...

How to deal with failure!

You might have heard, or thought, that failure is a very relative term. Each one of us determines failure differently: there are those who are really difficult to please and those guys who seldom get "rocked" simply because they choose an investment-free, that is, a "rock-free" curriculum. I've thought, over the course of my life and mostly during its rough patches, when thinking was one of the things that could really help me out, that our happiness, our purpose here on earth, and some say that these two things are one and the same, cannot possibly be influenced by failure. Just stop for a minute and imagine that. Imagine what it would mean, if every thing that went wrong, or differently t...

An amazing short-read book saw the light of day only a few days ago and it is the first "serious" work of young doctor and author or author and doctor (she hasn't decided yet), Aikaterini Tsentemeidou....aaand that would be me, so I'll just quit the scizophrenic third person and start speaking about myself . I'm guessing all of you aspiring authors out there and generally all of you out there are more or less familiar with the amazing and endless kindness of the publishing world, which overwhelmes us with choices and opportunities. I need to share with you, that I faced the exact same problem, not long ago, as the time came to get my "child" of a book published.  I just couldn't decide!! And just because I am very sensitive and couldn't hurt anybody  (I mean publisher) by turning them down, I resorted to publishing the book myself on amazon, fair and square. And now I can sleep well at nights. Well, that's a good one! To start...
